I have been a proud member of PCS since 1997, starting my journey in the Welsh Government and its predecessor, the Welsh Office. For over 25 years, I have served as a Union representative, driven by a deep commitment to socialism, equality, and respect. My passion for partnership working has been a cornerstone of my activism, ensuring that collaboration and unity are at the heart of all we do.
In my current roles—President of the Welsh Devolved Sector Group, Branch Chair of the Welsh Government Cardiff branch, Vice Chair of the PCS Wales Executive Committee, and lead PCS negotiator and social partnership lead for the Welsh Government—I have led on fostering strong, productive relationships between the union and the employer. Through daily engagement with senior leadership, I work tirelessly to address workforce issues, negotiate pay, and refine terms and conditions, always with a focus on mutual respect and shared goals.
Partnership working has been central to my approach. By building trust and open communication, I have successfully navigated complex negotiations, ensuring that our members’ needs are at the forefront while fostering a collaborative environment with employers. This approach has not only improved workplace conditions but also strengthened our union’s influence and effectiveness.

As a senior personal case advisor, I bring extensive expertise in equality issues, COSOP, TUPE, and employment law. My work on domestic abuse guidance for union reps and personal safety training for inspectors underscores my dedication to member welfare, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in creating a safer, more inclusive workplace. As a qualified Health & Safety advisor and mental health first aider, I am committed to creating a safe and supportive workplace. My work with the PCS National Women’s Forum and the Wales TUC AI reference group demonstrates my commitment to intersectionality and innovation.
I have led several key initiatives, including consultations on terms and conditions, and the introduction of social partnership, which highlights the power of working together to achieve better outcomes. My strategic leadership in these areas has consistently prioritized member engagement and transparency, ensuring that our collective voice drives meaningful change.
I am asking for your support in the NEC election 2025 to bring my experience and dedication to the broader PCS membership. Together, we can bring unity to our union, improve workplace conditions, and continue the fight for equality and fairness.
Thank you for your support. I encourage you also to support the other Democratic Alliance candidates and back a team that believes in the power of partnership to build a stronger future.
