After becoming a PCS rep in October 2024, I have since proudly served as a Young Members Officer for my branch and the South-West region. I am also the Southwest Young Members Convenor. In these roles, I speak regularly with young workers about the challenges they face both inside and outside the workplace, as well as the barriers to getting involved in the union. Through my work with the Young Members Advisory Committee and across the Southwest region, I have experience collaborating with young members across various departments to build networks and solidarity.
I am also a Personal Case Rep, and through this work, I see every day how strong and united trade union representation can have real, immediate impacts for members. I work to protect members from unfair treatment, provide guidance on their workplace rights, and have supported colleagues through many difficult situations. I have helped members secure reasonable adjustments that allow them to remain in work in a way that supports their wellbeing and allows them to contribute their skills. If elected to the GEC, I will campaign tirelessly to defend the rights of disabled members and make sure that policies do not undermine the dignity, fairness, and equality of our workers. I was at the marches against the proposed cuts to benefit claimants last year, and I will continue to stand against any measures I perceive to be not aligned with equality.

As a committed socialist and member of Left Unity, I also recognise there are growing concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence on workers, particularly young workers who are increasingly at the forefront of workplace change. I know this because it has become part of my dialogue with young people. This issue cannot be ignored and requires proper consultation. I will ensure I listen to members’ concerns and ensure they are addressed head-on, pushing for clear protections, meaningful consultation, and a strong trade union voice in shaping how new technologies are implemented in workplaces.
I have seen my trade union colleagues work tirelessly to improve and defend workers’ rights and ensure our members’ voices are heard. If elected, I will play an active role in strengthening our union and ensuring we continue to organize, campaign, and stand up for our members.
Members need strong leadership in DWP.
