2026 is a decisive year for our union.

Our members are still facing relentless pressure — rising living costs, ongoing threats to job security, office closures, digital restructures, and an unacceptable increase in bullying, harassment and discrimination. The challenges have not disappeared; they have intensified.
In the face of this, I have been proud to stand with Left Unity — not just in words, but in action — defending members case by case, workplace by workplace, and campaigning nationally for fair pay, dignity at work and secure jobs.
While others have focused on internal point-scoring and personal attacks, we have focused on members. Our priority has been clear: organising, negotiating and winning. Trade unionism is not about noise — it’s about results. And our members deserve representatives who are serious about delivering.

Equality must remain at the heart of our union. The latest People Survey findings confirm what many members already know: bullying, harassment and discrimination remain deeply concerning. I have taken on racism and discrimination cases across the country, supporting members through some of the most difficult moments of their working lives. That work will continue — firmly, unapologetically and with determination. No member should ever feel alone when facing injustice.
The coming year will be critical. Pay negotiations, pensions, restructuring and workplace rights will all be on the table. We need an NEC that is united, focused and prepared to fight — not distracted by division.
Left Unity offers experience, stability and a clear strategy to win for members.
Now is not the time for uncertainty. Now is the time for strength.
I am asking for your support so we can continue building a union that is confident, organised and fearless in defending its members.
Together we organise.
Together we fight.
Together we win.
