I joined PCS as an advocate shortly after joining the Civil Service in January 2017 as a DWP employee. The incredible work undertaken by our reps and activists during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic inspired me to sign up as a rep in 2021, and I haven’t looked back since.
I am the Young Members Officer for my branch and currently supporting branch organiser. As Young Members Convenor for Wales I have been an active member of the National Young Members Committee, and I am currently the Young Members Officer for the DWP Group Executive Committee.
In my various roles within PCS I have taken on personal cases, facilitated members meetings and picket lines, recruited members through induction talks, written articles for our website and newsletters, organised events, delivered educational workshops, represented our union at TUC conferences, and more recently travelled to Norway with TUC Wales as their PCS delegate to work closely with LO, the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions.

I am passionate and committed to fighting for healthier working environments, a true work-life balance for everyone, financial security, sufficient staffing levels, improvements to service delivery and equal opportunities for all members to not only succeed but flourish in their working lives.
PCS leads the way in advocating for fair pay for all UK government workers, defending occupational pensions in the public sector, combatting discrimination in all forms, protecting the livelihoods of thousands of staff, and fighting to secure the future of their workplaces.
Our union is our membership. It is our collective responsibility to elect a leadership worthy of our union. We cannot allow a “leadership” totally all-consumed with hostility towards their own union brothers and sisters to undo the years of progress we have all built together.
We deserve a trade union whose leaders live by and value their deeply held beliefs in solidarity, integrity, and unity. A leadership that delivers what is promised, leads by knowledge and example, and chooses to act together as a united front in the face of adversity. People who work their hardest and put their heart and soul into supporting our members and will always put members above all else. These are your Democracy Alliance candidates.
I humbly ask for your support in the upcoming NEC elections and ask that you vote Democracy Alliance. It’s time to put an end to ego, animosity and conflict within our union’s leadership and time to put mutual respect, healthy debate, and community back on the table.
Please support the Democracy Alliance candidates for a strong leadership to work for you.
