I currently serve on the NEC for the Commercial Sector and as Branch Secretary of the Sopra Steria Branch, representing members working on the privatised National Savings and Investments account. It would be an honour to continue this work with your support for re‑election.
I began at ATOS in Blackpool in 2015 and have seen first‑hand how a once proud National Savings Bank has been run down through privatisation. That experience drives my determination to challenge the damage done to the service, to our jobs, and to our terms and conditions across the commercial sector.
In recent years I have become a committed PCS representative—becoming Branch Secretary in 2024 and being elected to the 2024/25 and 2025/26 NEC. I work closely with Commercial Sector reps and play an active role in the Private Sector Members Association (PSMA). Over the past year I have taken part in pay negotiations, represented members throughout and after the TUPE transfer to Sopra Steria, and continued my responsibilities as a lead workplace representative.
We need to be honest: a Starmer‑led Labour government will not automatically stand with us. Their promises on insourcing have not materialised. Whether under Labour or the Tories, our strength comes from our organisation, our unity and our refusal to accept declining standards or broken promises. To protect what we have won—and to win more—we must keep building membership, defend our agreements and push forward on pay and conditions.
At 29, I’m committed to helping grow PCS for the next generation. Young workers need to see that their voice matters, that PCS will back them, and that they can help shape a stronger, more confident union.
I am committed to fighting for a fairer future for working‑class people, for PCS members across the commercial sector and for colleagues throughout the union. With determination and solidarity, we can win better pay, stronger conditions and a more equal workplace for all.
