I am truly excited to reaffirm my dedication to representing our union and the Left Unity movement in a senior capacity. Since being  elected as a GEC Officer, I have faced numerous challenges that have not only tested my determination but have also strengthened my commitment to advocating for you our members. One major concern we have encountered is the troubling increase in cases of bullying and harassment within DWP. Tackling these issues directly has been a top priority for me, as I firmly believe that promoting  a safe and supportive environment is essential to our collective strength.

In response to these challenges, I have devoted my efforts to championing disability rights. I have taken on particularly difficult cases and worked diligently to dismantle obstacles that have disproportionately affected individuals with disabilities. My passion for this cause drives me to ensure that our union is both inclusive and proactive in supporting the rights of all workers. I am dedicated to creating a space where every member feels valued and encouraged to share their experiences and concerns openly.

As a proud member of Left Unity and PCS, I have had the opportunity to conduct workshops aimed at educating and empowering our members. These sessions are designed to provide essential tools and resources to help individuals navigate the complexities of workplace dynamics, particularly with regard to bullying and harassment. I believe that information is a vital resource in our pursuit of justice and equality, and I am passionate about equipping our members with the skills necessary to advocate effectively for themselves and their peers.

If you recognise my name, H Lothian you know that I stand firmly for your rights. I will not back down in this fight. We have achieved significant milestones, such as pausing the membership levy, and I encourage you to vote for my re-election so that we can continue to implement meaningful changes together.

I am enthusiastic about actively engaging in  meetings at all levels, where I can continue to contribute my insights, expertise, and passion. I see these gatherings as crucial opportunities for open dialogue and collaboration, and I am eager to continue participating in discussions that shape our union’s strategies and decision-making processes.

My objective is to ensure that the voices of workers—especially those who have felt marginalised—are acknowledged and respected, in harmony with the principles of Left Unity. 

Together, I am confident we can cultivate a stronger, more inclusive union that prioritises the needs and rights of all members.

I look forward to the chance to contribute meaningfully to our shared efforts and to persist in advocating for the values we cherish.
