Dear Colleague,
This is our moment.

I’m asking you to vote for me, and for our Left Unity comrades, in the upcoming PCS DWP Group Executive Committee elections.
I am standing as your GEC Group Executive Committee Member, not for status, not for a title, but because I believe in what our union can be when it is bold, fearless and unapologetically on the side of its members.
Since 2020, I have stood shoulder to shoulder with you. I have challenged injustice wherever I’ve seen it. I have taken on overzealous managers who thought they could ride roughshod over our members. I have insisted that policies are followed, that dignity is respected, and that no member stands alone.
In South London, we have rebuilt confidence in our union from the ground up. We’ve supported and empowered hundreds of members. We’ve turned frustration into collective strength. We’ve inspired new joiners, and many of them are now reps themselves. That is what real trade unionism looks like: visible, organised, determined.
Over the last three years alone, I have personally represented hundreds of members in complex and challenging cases. We have secured fair outcomes. We have stopped unfair treatment. We have pushed back where others would have backed down. That consistent, relentless support has strengthened our branch and reminded members that PCS is a force to be reckoned with.
I am proud to stand with Left Unity because our values are not slogans, they are commitments. Social justice. Equality for women. Racial equality. The rights of disabled members. Real democracy within our union. Environmental responsibility. These are not abstract ideas to me. They guide every case I take, every meeting I attend, every decision I make.
If elected to the GEC, I will fight to:
- Win fair pay and end chronic underpayment in the DWP
- Secure permanent jobs and proper staffing levels
- Defend and strengthen our rights at work
- Oppose policies that harm our members
- Keep our pay campaign focused on members, not outside interests
We are facing a government that undervalues public service workers while attacking the most vulnerable in our communities. We cannot afford hesitation. We cannot afford division. We need principled, organised, fighting leadership.
Alongside Angela Grant and our Left Unity colleagues, I will continue to stand firm. I will continue to speak up. I will continue to push for a PCS that listens, acts and delivers.
South London Branch has nominated the Left Unity slate because we believe in collective leadership. We believe in accountability. We believe in action. Together, we can confront injustice, strengthen our union, and build a future where every member feels protected, valued and heard.
