Ginnette Gantschuk

Hi, my name is Ginnette Gantschuk and I’m a longstanding member of the union since January 1991 when I started employment in the prison service. I became an active rep in 2007 and have held a number of Branch and Group roles consulting and negotiating on key member issues such as pay and employment rights. I’m currently an officer on the MOJ Group Executive Committee representing members interests at a national level in addition to providing a link between HMPPS as an agency of MOJ for those of our members who transfer under functional leadership on COSOP moves to core MOJ. I’m also the Chair of the HMPPS National Trade Union Side (NTUS), working with other HMP unions on common issues such as pay, HR and operational Policy and the Covid-19 pandemic.
I’m standing for the NEC as I’ve a long history of TU activity and experience that I can bring to ensure members terms and conditions are guarded both now and for our future members. I firmly believe that the NEC needs experienced, diverse and committed members who are representative of our membership.
