For R&C GEC

I’m re-standing for the GEC in what will be my third year. I have been a member of the group’s health and safety and ISBC negotiating teams and have looked after the London branches as hub lead. Over the past year I have acted as the group’s organiser, working with our branch organisers primarily on the national campaign. Throughout I have worked as a personal caseworker, saving jobs and negotiating adjustments for disabled members.
As the government squeezes departmental budgets, for PCS members this means we face the threat of job cuts and lack of replacements for staff who leave the department. We know the government has offered a below inflation pay rise, just as 40% of us are using food banks, claiming UC whilst working and struggling to make ends meet. We need a strong GEC with reps willing to fight against all the attacks we’re facing. You can count on me to fight on your behalf and to work tirelessly to get all members active in PCS; not just members who see subs as a monthly fee for a service. This is your union and the stronger we are, the harder we can fight back.
If re-elected you can count on me and all Left Unity members to continue to use socialist principles to fight for every member and every branch. I hope I can count on your vote.
